Spent 60 on fish a week ago and one died within the first day. Was planning on going back today to see if I could get a replacement and would also buy some additional fish. So called before I set off and they said they won't replace any fish not returned within 24 hours of them dying. Well this would have been impossible due to working and I can't understand why this matters (although a great way to keep peoples money). Went out today to maidenhead aquatics instead (much greater choice and cheaper) and spent my money there instead. For the sake of replacing a 3.50 fish i will never go back to Hertfordshire fisheries as customer service is shockingly bad, and how quiet it was last weekend, I assume everyone else feels the same.

Good fish shop, never too busy and some good deals to be had. Staff very friendly and always willing to help, good selection of fish and also other exotic animals. Good range a fish foods.

Really great aquatic shop. Well stocked with knowledgeable staff. No marine if that is your thing but for tropical and cold water it's a great store.

Yesterday we spent a hell of a lot of money at herts fisheries. The staff clearly didn't want to be there and everything seemed to be a bit too much of an effort. We hadn't been to Herts Fisheries for a long time....now we realise why!!! Out of all the fish we bought yesterday, at least 1/3 of them have died and trust me....we have had fish for a number of years so we certainly know how to look after them. Very dissapointed- never again!!!
