I normally buy my tickets online and pick up from the ticket machine but it is always nice to buy tickets at the station too. Staff are very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. It is a very busy station. Coffee shop with breakfast goodies on site. There are two exits one from platform 4 which leads out onto just off Victoria Street where the town is only about 10 minutes walk away. The main exit on platform 1 leads to taxis and bus stops. If you get off at platform 4 and want to get a bus or taxi to Hatfield or Watford for example, cross over to platform 1 and exit the main part of the station. Platform 2 generally has the fast train to London.
