Nice place and good service. The sirloin steak was delicious with the truffle chips upgrade as well as the sticky toffee pudding that just took seconds to be all gone. Just a bit disappointed for the peppercorn sauce that we didn't ordered and we were charged 5 for it.

Pate, cheese, fresh bread, olives, great selection of nibbles, chutneys, crackers and the butchery section is amazing... then to top it off the alcohol variety is brilliant. I often come for gifts (and pate) for friends and family and never leave empty handed.

Very nice place to visit, haddock chowder was fantastic. Good options for various dietary requirements. Shop has a lot of different things, mostly local produce! Will definitely be back.

Third time visiting Balgove..the butcher counter displays a great variety & we ve bought & tried most of it...steak truffles, chicken kebab s..garlic chicken to name a few...cafe spotless & staff were so friendly. Felt v safe re covid practices.. table, chairs menu s sprayed after each customer use. In/ out systems. Well done every1......( to the 4 elderly local ladies picking 3 different tables to sit at before they were happy...never gave a thought for the staff member who had to clean everything at each table they sat.. shame on u.... staff member was polite.friendly & showed it wasnt a problem.. well done jack
