My son found my favorite childhood book through your shop and it came yesterday! What a joy to be able to read it after 20 years. You helped make this 53 y/o kid smile!
I was looking for an out-of-print edition of the Wind in the Willows (full colour illustrations by EM Shephard). I got it at a very fair price from Stella & Rose's. The book was exactly in the condition they had described and there was full transparency right from the start of the booking process. The book arrived ahead of schedule (despite the nation-wide lockdown). I wholeheartedly recommend Stella & Rose and look forward to purchasing other rare books from them.
What a wonderful find. Over 30000 books can you believe! A quiet, well organised, second hand book shop that's full of really good quality, and not terribly expensive, books. A real trip down memory lane seeing all the old books we used to read as children. Everything is in a plastic, protective jacket to maintain their condition. But the lady behind the counter was not over welcoming, which was a shame. Otherwise it would be five stars.
Wide range of really old children's books and they deliver internationally. You can get pleasantly lost in this book store.
