Comments Leave a Comment Categories Uncategorized FISHING REPORT 10TH MARCH 20 10 Mar Mike Greenfields & friend stayed in Robins Retreat on the ISLAND LAKE for a 24r session, fishing open water they caught twelve carp from 5lb to 13lbs. Kevin Gardner stayed in Anglers Rest on the ISLAND LAKE for a 24hr session, also fishing open water to land twenty two carp to 19lbs between 10am & 5pm then ended up reeling in to get some rest after a crazy day. Adrian fished in open water on the top bank of the ISLAND LAKE using prawns to have a 20lb carp and some perch. Two Anglers on a day ticket fished the CORSICAN with poles to catch 60lbs worth of fish between them including mirrors, commons, roach & perch. The CORSICAN POND is producing carp up 12lbs at present on natural baits, plus roach, rudd & smaller perch. DAVES POND still showing lots of smaller carp for the juniors over half term. The ISLAND POND showing larger carp mainly in open water boilies, pellets & prawns have been successful, roach showing from corner swims & perch. FISHING SHELTERS – both shelters are starting to get booked for this year so if you do have a certain date in mind, it might be worth booking as soon as you can, payment isnt due until 2 weeks prior. CAMPING – we are aiming to start camping for the easter weekend but depending on the weather it could be 1st of may or later this year, the fields need at least 3 to 4 weeks to dry out, at present they are flooded, please feel free to ring for bookings but please be aware these might not be comfirmed  until a few days prior to arrival. We are now taking bookings for 2020 for both cabins, there wont be a calander on our website, bookings will be taken by telephone only. ANGLERS REST has two luxury beds, heating, toaster, kettle, utensils for cooking, lighting, reserved swim with parking behind both winter & summer months. Comments Leave a Comment Categories Uncategorized FISHING REPORT 19TH OCT 19 19 Oct Grant Elkin fished peg 3 of the corsican pond with prawn to catch a great number of perch up to 2lbs. His father Terry landed 42 carp from 2lbs to 10lbs, 6 smaller perch and a lovely tench. THE ISLAND LAKE has been productive with lots of carp from 5lbs to 12lbs, some bigger carp inbetween more in open water now, mainly from the top bank main entrance area and around the airater. Popular baits have been Manilla, cell, robin red (boiles) also halibut pellet, luncheon meat as usual, plus small amounts of natural ground bait. The cabin swim area also producing carp, perch and the odd tench. DAVES POND Lots of smaller carp from 1lbs to 8lbs float fishing, sweetcorn, luncheon meat and other natural baits all work well. A great days sport for the children and disabled. Congratulations to Aaron Simmons for having your 22lb PB published in Total carp this month. Steve Dennis landed this lovely 22lb 5z carp fishing with son ryan from the Island lake.
