Well located just north of Scotch Corner off the A1/M1. Plenty of parking which is free (as are the majority of racecourses). Good facilities ample for the size of the track. Has superb panoramic viewing and you feel close to the action. The locals are usually there in force and and are a friendly humorous bunch. A great day out and the track has its own chippy- the best I've had at any racecourse

Great little course where everything is accessible easily. What let's it down is the price for facilities. We paid 16 for a grandstand ticket (reduction if booked in advance.) Problem is the grandstand area consists of around 10 steps. There is a separate slightly larger area but you cannot see the finish line, only visible on the screen opposite from around 1/2 furlong mark. Virtually no protection from the weather and as it's so open even a breeze feels like a gale. Half the course is not viewable due to undulations so again it's the screen. Coffee is sold from the back of a car and other facilities quite basic. At 10 it would be acceptable or provide better viewing facilities. Others will disagree but I can only tell you my feelings and will not return unless prices reduced, we actually left after the 3rd race due to no shelter. It's a shame as we live less than 10 miles away now and would have visited on a regular basis.

Fantastic day on December 4th at Sedgefield where The Late Legend won for the third time in two months. It was also a first winner under rules for 18 year old Luke Scott. A day to remember! Excellent hospitality from JP O'Farrell too.

Staff constantly shouting across the field & swearing to sellers at the carboot sale, and between themselves. The sale is well organised,...if regulars listened to what they were told instead of believing rules didnt apply to them. Apart from that, it was just quiet and difficult to sell anything. Toilets provided were clean and usable.

Went here because I got tickets to the ladies day, it was packed so the parking had moved to a field where you could park. My mother is disabled so she tried to turn to go to the entrance of the grounds but a really rude and disrespectful member of staff first of all jumping into our path forcing my mom to break and almost get hit by a passing car. Other than this incident the grounds was alright food was good only other problem was that I'm a big person and the only seating available outdoors were plastic chairs which I was afraid would break
