I would have given it negative stars if it was possible...... do not book a reservation at this place !!!!! We booked 3 or 4 weeks ago, received the confirmation, so all seemed good. Today I finished work and after loading up the bags and chucking the kids into the car, we drove from Cornwall to Stoke. Arrived to find the place all fenced off, so contacted a number on a security sign, to find that the place closed several weeks ago. The place has been ransacked, it's a dump.... It seems that there is a new owner who is going to sort it out and re-open, but any money paid out is never likely to be returned. So take my advice.....find somewhere else to book a room to stay. We thankfully managed to get a room at hotel opposite the railway station..... The Great Stafford Hotel.

Pretty bog standard motel rooms. Good value, well located to Stoke and the M6, close to supermarkets and nice cafes. Didn't try the pub as we arrived too late but that seemed reasonably nice as well. Basic bedrooms.

Room was much more than expected for the price. Essentially a one room flat and there was even an actual bath which is rare these days. Lovely staff wonderful food. Totally impressed

The staff were friendly, room clean. Just a shame that it seems to be sublet to local council as what I assume is a half way house type of place. We went back after a family party & felt extremely intimidated having to walk to our door past a large bunch of people smoking drugs & staring at us. Whilst in the bar area also there was a strong smell of cannabis floating through. Potentially could be a nice place, but we definitely will not be staying again.

We need more hotels like this. Fast, freindley, efficient check in. Large free car park. Bigger than expected room, very good water pressure, clean, tidy and comfortable double bed. Can't comment on the food but the Stella is good! All this for just over 30 quid. Had smaller, dirtier rooms for 6 times the price so I am very happy with this place.

Welcoming staff, lovely food. Room was OK, clean, nice white bedding and towels. Not over fancy but for the price good value.

Visited on a few occasions now, twice for breakfast and once for Sunday lunch. Can't fault the food, recommend the carvery. Decor and furnishings could do with some updating but a warm welcome and great staff.
