We stayed in Garden Cottage which was very comfortable, spacious, well equipped, spotlessly clean and very warm. One of the best holiday lets we have been in.There are many walks on good paths from the doorstep through the estate and further afield. There's plenty of interesting wildlife to spot eg red squirrels, deer, and a variety of birds as well as interesting woodland and coastal views. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the surrounding area for many walks. Kate and Angus are great hosts and we look forward to our next visit down in April. Thank you.

My partner and I have just returned from a 4 day break away to High Clachan Farmhouse on the Corsewall Estate near Stranraer and I was fantastic, an idilic place to stay in a beautiful location. We have had a couple of holidays abroad cancelled due to the Covid situation and we needed a break but didn’t want to travel abroad so decided to stay in this country and find somewhere to take our Golden Retriever ( Charlie ) and go away as a family, I wanted somewhere nice and quiet to go walking and chill out and I found The Corsewall Estate with it’s beautiful holiday cottages within its grounds and looking at the pictures and the reviews I am so glad I booked. We traveled up on Monday 26th October from Bolton and in total it took us around 3 and a half hours, seems long but the views were outstanding and traffic wasn’t that bad. The lady who owns the estate ( Kate ) sent us clear and precise directions and as well as the navigation we got there after a couple of small wrong turns. We arrived at 5:30pm to a warm and welcoming house that is out of this world amazing, spotlessly clean and very inviting. We had a quick look around the big kitchen/ dinning area and conservatory, the 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, it is the kind of place you would want to own if you won the lotto. Well we cannot explain to you how we slept in the Super King beds, with extra thick windows and lush surroundings but I didn’t want to leave and really cannot wait to return. A pleasant touch was the owners of the manor ( Angus and Kate ) came to visit us personally to see how we were doing and if we needed anything, which I thought was lovely. If you do decide to go here there are very well signposted walks around the estate and you can get to most of the other attractions around the area within an hour. I hope my review has been informative for you, I have attached some pictures also

Great place to be a family, kids & dogs et all. The gardens and walks within the estate are brilliant and with the shore only 10 minutes away. It truly is a doggy heaven full of wildlife, plants and trees
