Had a lovely walk here with the other half. It was a foggy morning which honestly only added to the atmosphere. Will definitely be back next year and hopefully catch the salmon run

Amazing waterfalls surrounded by a lush forest. Less than 30mins drive from Inverness and on route to Skye/Ullapool. Short (20mins) and long walking (30mins) routes available. We took the longer one and had the chance to explore the beautiful forest and finally ended up at the bridge and falls. We were not fortunate enough to see salmon leaping out of water but if you have more time, I can imagine it will be really cool. Lots of funghi and mushrooms too. Highly recommended.
Nice scenic area, easily accessible from car park. A definite do-not-miss if you pass by , especially in Autumn when you end up with a mix of colourful leaves from ancient woodland trees and lichen becoming visible. Having some sun is a plus but lot a necessity to enjoy. Well maintained path that would accept aided wheelchair
This short but very popular walk descends through varied forestry down to the Blackwater River to visit the impressive Rogie Falls. The falls are well seen from a dramatic suspension bridge, whilst across the far side, an artificial channel allows salmon to bypass the main cascade. . Access by Car: From Contin, take the A835 road west heading for Ullapool for about two miles. You will see the sign for the Rogie Falls car park on the east side of the road. The car park is at grid reference NH 442 585. . Access by train: Waymarked forest footpaths, some rocky ground. . Access by public transportation: Bus 961 Inverness to Ullapool . Get up close to these impressive waterfalls on a new suspension bridge across the beautiful Black Water river. It's only a short walk from the car park and during August and September, there's an excellent chance of seeing wild salmon leaping upstream. Visit after heavy rain or snow, when water gushes and tumbles from the slopes of Ben Wyvis, and the Falls of Rogie are even more sensational. . During the summer months, there are public toilets, run by Highland Council, next to the car park and food is available in Tarvie and Garve. You'll find other toilets, shops and places to eat in Strathpeffer, Contin and Dingwall. . Hope you enjoy your trip and follow my google map page to support.
AMAZING place to visit, with at least 6 different places to veiw the water falls and salmon ladder this is a must, with clean water beautiful trees and landscapes you could spend ages up here taking pictures. The bridge is in good condition granted its give feedback when you walk over it but the water falls from up there are cool.
