My partner and I have just returned home from a long weekend at the sleep out at Sunny Lea. If you want an idyllic retreat away from the hustle and bustle of every day life this is your place. No WiFi, coming in the open in a pizza oven, sitting out under a canopy with a fire pit blazing and stunning views as well as stunning county walks. We are looking forward to the opening of sleep out number 2. Mike and Rachel are extremely friendly and helpful and more than willing to pass on tips, information and general help to make your stay more pleasant. Cannot rate this place highly enough!!! P.S: We are living proof you can cook more than pizza in a pizza oven. Try rosemary and honey glazed camembert, home made lamb burgers with chilli sweetcorn, glazed salmon with roasted vegetables, mince pies along with chicken Madras and thyme infused rice!!!

Just returned from a long weekend here staying in The Sleepout. We have had an amazing time and this place is amazing. Mike and Rachael have made something special , great credit to both for what they have created. The cabin is so cosy, warmed through with the log burner. The outdoor area , kitchen/living and fire pit is great, not to forget the pizza oven. The place is secluded with stunning views. We would love to return again one day and would recommend this place to anyone. Many thanks, Mark and Rachael.

My husband and I went here for our honeymoon as we wanted to do something different and didn't want a beach holiday. The Sleep out was perfect. Quiet and secluded so we could really relax and we got the food hamper too which was filled with local produce. The village is only a short walk away and there is plenty to do in the surrounding area after a short drive. We went for lots of walks in the surrounding fields and woodland and I especially loved watching all the butterflies by the shower. Definitely worth a visit, we went for a whole week and we're planning on going back as soon as we can.

We had a truly amazing time at The Sleepout and wouldn't hesitate to recommend! From the fully stocked hamper, gorgeous cabin and beautiful setting we enjoyed every minute of our stay. With a love for the outdoors, the weekend break was booked by my Girlfriend. We both loved it! The Sleepout had a touch of luxurious comfort but the ability to make fires, cook outside and we loved the simplicity of the compost toilet and warm cabin shower. The wood burner was brilliant for keeping us warm through the night and the pizza oven was great fun! Mike and Rachel left us to do as we please but were on hand for any questions we had. Thank you so much for an amazing stay! There isn't a single negative comment for our stay, we would be delighted to come back in the future. Thank you Mike and Rachel! Tom and Alice.
