The food was devine, fish pie, and what a monster of a pie it was, Absolutely Fantastic plus a Jam Roly Poly for dessert. Couldn't have asked for better. And at a reasonable price, well done folks, 5 *****

Awesome hideaway, centuries old Inn with peaceful beer garden overlooking the beautiful Pennine Hills. Peaceful staff, superb food and well-kept beers, ciders and lagers. Can't comment on the wine list but there's a good sized car park!
Great property in good location, not operating anymore, in need of major refurbishment. Need to decide on best usage of the property.

We'd driven past this pub before on the way to Pendle Hill, so we gave it a try for our date night! Fabulous! I had the Beef Stew - lovely, melting beef in a red wine sauce with some big, fat diet dumpling baked into the top; garlicky dauphinoise; and the veg came with a pot of mushy peas! Great selection of local ales, plus an amazing mango cider from Cornwall - plus the pub was a bit like visiting my Nan's house 15 years ago! An absolutely lovely meal in a great little pub - we'll definitely be back!
