Frankly, I was looking forward to writing this review almost instantly when visiting Peppina with my family for the first time. The ambience is semi casual, but is still the type of place you can enjoy a bottle of wine and spend some time. The restaurant is cozy but very good for social distancing and other safety measures. The staff were friendly and attentive (but not overbearing), with a good sense of humour. And now figuratively and literally, the main course. The food was fresh, delicious, exciting and sat well in the stomach as a good Italian meal should. The veggie sharing platter was perfect for a group of four and had a great variety of nibbles. Could not make a single complaint. Happy to welcome business like this to the area.
Perfect pasta, great staff and lovely ice cream. Tried it on a couple of occasions, both superb and look forward to many more visits. and a couple more - I'm in danger of eating way too much :-) Final thought... Why was the pizzeria desperate for business? Because they kneaded the dough!
Wonderful little restaurant. Food was outstanding, the place was spotlessly clean and the staff were wonderful. 100% highly recommended! Also dog friendly!
Good prices and portions and taste, lots of flies though and food not covered so flies when all on the food on the counter
Great looking menu, would loved to have tried but staff did not come and ask what a party of four would like, how long the wait would be etc. A complete lack of eye contact, despite walking past us twice and talking to other customers. We weren't the only ones with three other parties simply walking away. Would've given zero stars if possible.
***Updated review*** After I slight SNAFU over bookings last night, it was very heartening to see the below reply from the restaurant owner. I can only imagine how hard the restaurant business is at the moment what what the pandemic and working in the kitchen on the hottest day of the year. Mistakes happen but how the restaurant has handled a grumpy complaint really is exemplary. It would have been very easy to ignore my ramblings or tell me to do one. I won't be taking up the kind offer of a free lunch but I will be re-booking and paying full fare as local businesses like this with such an obviously committed and caring management deserve to be supported.
Lovely staff and delicious food. Would definitely visit again
