Lots of little independent shops, hope they survive covid, this is a beautiful quaint town by the sea. Swanage Bay itself is very picturesque and home to many wonderful aquatic creatures, water sports are popular but mindless participants in aquatic fun, frequently have a devastating effect on the delicate balance that allows unusual creatures, like seahorses, to breed and thrive.

Great stream train travelling through some fantastic English countryside. A lovely way to get from Swanage to Corfe Castle. Trains are punctual, don't be late!

Lovely old fashioned train. However due to lack of substantial funding the lights decorations were very minimal. Found it too expensive for the price of one ticket.

This is the terminus of the Swanage Railway. The station is very well maintained (better than many mainline stations) and you can see the activity around reversing the train service. Services run from here back to Norden with the odd train that would come off the main line. The services seem quite regular and well staffed.

Well worth a visit. Very friendly staff who caringly apply covid rules (unlike some places which are almost aggressively petty about them). The station is well kept, with a lovely gift shop and riding on the trains is a real pleasure. I vaguely remember some steam trains from my youth (or imagine I do). Its a great trip to another time in well kept trains with advertising to make me reminisce.
