This is one of our favourite location to go to. It's one of the cheapest places, even I can afford it with very low income. The children love the miniature trains, as they can sit on them and the train drivers take us around a long loop to arrive back to the \station\. Unfortunately they are only open from the first Bank Holiday weekend in May till the end of August on every Bank Holiday Sunday and Monday. The entry last time we went was 1.00/pp and 1 ride was 0.50. They have a nice green area where you can bring your picnic and sit on the lawn. Children can safely run about, although under 8's must be accompanied by an adult. Try it! Love it! :)

A hidden gem for a day out in Swansea, only open a few times a year on bank holidays for riding several trains in the middle of a housing estate, only 1 entry and 1 per ride toilets and refreshments available with seating outside or lawn area for picnics. Not many people know of this on their doorstep so still quiet for bank holiday weekend.

A lovely little place for rides behind minature steam and diesel engines with 'sit on top - legs at either side' bench like carriages. The double looped track features a tunnel, cuttings and a viaduct, the volunteers are friendly and the entrance fee and ride fee are very reasonable. The rating reflects the sort of facilities you would expect for an occasional, volunteer run centre; but this is no criticism and it's well worth an hour of your time - or more. Note: Only open Bank Holiday Weekends.

Derwen Fawr Miniature Railway is a great place to go and visit with the station and tunnel. They work very hard to keep it's high standard, with warm greetings to all it's visitors and new members. Mind all railway clubs like to have all visitors and new members why not go along and see it. Also look up your local club and support it do one better join then they would love to have you with them.
