Yum! Still making tasty and great value pies. Take away only at the moment but that doesn’t matter when they taste so good. What a cracking range of flavours, venison and wild boar helped make a warming lunch. Will have to go back when the restaurant reopens to get the full experience. Definitely a hidden gem in Reading worth a go in these winter months to have some hearty grub at a price that is such good value for money. Keep up the good work.

Without question the best place in Reading, possibly the best place in the world. Amazing pies, loads of different fillings, great to enjoy in the restaurant when it's open, or at home. I've never had anything from here that I wouldn't recommend. A local institution - if you live in Reading and you've never eaten here then what are you waiting for?
Love this place!! Highly recommend. I tend to get a couple of pies to go for dinner and heat them up at home. Love the special occasion pies like the 6 Nations Pie and the Anniversary Pie! There’s a great range of choice. I’ll be back again soon.
The best place in the entire universe! When I was serving in the forces and was overseas, I would dream of coming home to go here, and my mouth watered when I thought of it as it does now. I used to badger my mum to go here and send me a pie if I was in Europe. I am not normally a huge fan of pies, but this place surpasses that, it’s culinary heaven! I can’t recommend it enough. I’m in a wheelchair now and I seriously wished they could deliver. Fingers crossed something might change. The place is a little outfit, if I had my way the entire world would taste these world class champion level pies!!!
Love this place, the best pie for me is the beef, chorizo and black pudding, absolutely outstanding. Although the 5 nations pie is a close second :-D
