Always had good treatment here from ALL staff. Everyone is always happy to help where or if they can.
I don't know where to start but this review is UC benefit related. Past experiences include not being able to use the toilet(disability reasons), not being allowed a glass of water to take tablets with, being called in for appointments that weren't needed. Loosing paperwork, denying ever seen the paperwork that had been provided. It goes on and on. Present experiences include speaking to my husband and not myself when both seated in front of the agent. Totally unhelpful, never answer direct questions. Use of monotone scripted answers and contradicting GDPR policies. Being told we were wrong about things we had Both read in the UC online journals. Security staff that looked bored out of their heads and were sat on phones the duration we were there. How about employing people that will do the job.. Being paid as security to sit on their phones, what a waste of money. Start with a smile guys. That alone diffuses people's preconceptions for what a lot of us feel is a very confrontational, anxiety driven experience. Smiles are free... Try it. :) Advice before visiting: Watch I, Daniel Blake and welcome to 2019 DWP. Needs improvement. A lot of. Its not fit for purpose.
I have anxiety and depression. Some are okay to talk to others however made me feel anxious and kind of disrespectful to me, so much i nearly had an anxiety attack and cried my eyes out. Theyve actually not gave me any money this month... dont know why. This however is stupid because i had to buy things on my pay day but needed to borrow money to get food. However still need to pay my rent, food, monthly bills etc etc... Absolutely ridiculous
