Not the grove any more. New owner. Pub is also serving Chinese/Japanese and thai food. Standard drink selection amazing food. About the same price as a take away but so much better with good service. Loud bar (customer wise but could depend on the night) with cozy not loud restaurant. Would recommend to anyone.

Now closed. Ran into the ground by the last landlord, who was clearly in the wrong business. He had no interest whatsoever in talking to anyone and preferred to spend his time sitting at the bar on his laptop. I cannot imagine a person more unsuitable to work in a bar. Really hope it opens up again but doubt there'll be too many lining up to take it.

Decent real ales, nice chatty Staff and an excellent venue for live music. Perhaps worth the long walk from town centre!
