Absolutely love it here, it's such a beautiful place to go all year round. You'll probably have to set aside the whole day considering how big it is, but you could honestly go walking for hours on end and still find new and beautiful trees; it's very hard to get bored here, I highly recommend to anyone, whether by yourself or with family!

Beautiful place at any time of the year. Sadly we visited towards the end of the beautiful fall colours, but saw some stunning maples undergoing the transition that made it worthwhile. Hats off to the Forestry Commission for a great job organising the civic compliant visit days

Great place for a walk, especially with young kids. Lots of hide and seek opportunities plus the gruffalo bit is lovely. The restaurant also does some good food and a nice mocha.
