Eventually got to visit the Abbey after years of passing by enrolled to other places. I must say it is very different to nearby Worcester cathedral. Very different atmosphere. Not hard to imagine the scenes after the battle of Tewkesbury in and around the Abbey. Beautiful surroundings, very peaceful and some impressive trees, especially the huge copper beech. Nice shop and cafe, restricted to coffee and cake, at the moment. Friendly and helpful staff. Definitely worth taking some time out to visit.
