In-store shopping
Normally love to find unusual thoughtful little gifts whilst shopping small and local. However as the number of COVID cases are on the rise again and as I enter this shop as I’m asked to sanitise my hands, which I say of course is it ok for me to use mine which they agree to. Inside the shop I’m then asked to carry a red disk of which I politely reply, apologise I’d prefer not too as I’ve not long come out of shielding as I’m extremely vulnerable and been advised not to come into contact with anything I don’t need too. Given the unnecessary explanation I thought this would satisfy my not unreasonable request, confirming that they could take it on my behalf. I was surprised to be met with further sarcastic questions like how you shop, to which I replied easily and like most people with common sense in a pandemic only handle the items I intend to purchase. As I moved round the shop I was met with the sales assistants an elderly lady and a younger man rudely and not subtly discussing it, as if they are my medical experts or could understand what would make every person entering a shop feel as if they where entering a safer environment. I left sighting how rude they had been. Wouldn’t recommend this shop based on my experience
