I am giving a 5 star review mainly based on the service we received. Anglea is an asset to this place. She was our waitress for the evening and was very attentive. My little boy banged his head, she brought ice over and helped calm him down and even called the following day to check up on him. This was really appreciated and something I will remember when recommending this place to others

Stopped off for lunch. Food has the wow factor. Pic attached is our fish and chip platter for 2. When it was served our response was wow. Tasted great too. Other dishes being served looked great too. Add in a great selection of real ales and really friendly owners and staff and you have a pub that is worthy of such high praise.
Friendly helpfull staff. Covid rules in place working well. Food was ok. Nothing special peas hard chips over cooked.
A group of us Met up with friends, Julie and Mick (after 3 years), at their local pub. Wow wow wow, what excellent food, and service. Mary' had the lasagna and said it was the best tasting lasagna she has ever had, (and Mary had her fair share in her life time). The mixed grill was cooked to the right taste, and had lovely homemade onion rings. The char grilled steak was cooked perfectly and came with the most delicious cheese salad i have ever tasted. We all had a dessert and they were so yummy and presented lovely. Well done everyone in the Kitchen, keep up the good work and will be returning again in the near future.
Went in for afternoon tea, there was 4 of us so we had 2 savory and 2 sweet afternoon tea's. The food was all hand prepared and cooked fresh and tasted amazing, my favourite was the homemade scotch egg and cheese scones as I do like savory food, I would highly recommend this for anyone as was the best I have had. The pub has a very nice feel to it with traditional bar and then a restaurant and a cosy part where we sat to have our afternoon tea. Lovely friendly staff and very good price for what you get. 10 out of 10 from me
