SHARP is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year: 25 years of archaeological discoveries. These undulating, empty hillsides hold so many ancient mysteries. It's an amazing project that draws in local people and world-class experts. Their annual open day is always fascinating. The most intriguing thing that sticks in my mind is the discovery several years ago of a cow's leg bone, in which someone - hundreds of years ago - had secreted a treasure trove of coins. Who and why will never be known - and he never came back for them. Spine tingling!
