The Bull is one of my favourite go to pubs for Sunday roast. Our late September sunny afternoon meal was perfect in all respects, roast chicken and roast beef with all the English trimmings. Staff are very friendly and a sensible approach to Covid. A welcome return to near normality.

Appalling health & safety. Avoid. Terrible COVID measures. If I get COVID it will be from this visit. I hope they get shut down. Track & trace shoddy - sign in by picking from a pot full of pens other people have used. No staff to greet and encourage sign-in either. Most people just walked past. Tables are not far apart enough, NO one way system anywhere, so people squeeze past thru doorways and to WCs etc. People stand over your table to shout to their mates, no staff keeping an eye at all. One stresses manager not keeping an eye, she seemed to terrify all her young staff. No table service at all - you have to queue and order at bar like preCOVID FFS. Theres a big screen to protect bar staff but NO distancing in the queue so everyone's all in your space. Really worrying. Cutlery and sauce sachets all from a big box where you help yourself - touching loads of other sachets and forks etc. I saw one handgel station on a wall, in a doorway where people have to squeeze past to get anywhere. Awful. However most of the people in here - mainly blokes called Gary and Lee who had just come off building sites - won't care. Anti-maskers will be fine here, I was terrified.

A lovely local pub with nice food and atmosphere. Only downfall is that the food is abit too expensive. It cost us a family of 6 only 1 less than when we go to a proper restaurant to eat, and this is still a pub. Overall it was nice though.
