We visited the Cambridge Chop House and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Initially we were drawn in by the sign advertising mulled wine, which later transpired to be unavailable but the coffee was a lovely substitute. The atmosphere was pleasant and the people were very nice. I also enjoyed looking out over the beautiful view of King's College and watching the locals go by.

Dining with friends, we were squeezed in for the last sitting, before the 10pm curfew. We all had beef, it would be a shame not, we thought! The meals were good quality and the steaks were cooked to order, which is not always to be expected. The staff were polite and helpful. The location is good and prices are reasonable.

My search for the best beef burger ever which has taken me all over the UK, the East coast of the US, Australia, Singapore ETC has now lead me to more familiar settings, Cambridge which is local to me and I already know is full of great places to eat out solo or with mates. The Chop House Burger which features shredded beef cheek and Stilton on top of a fat beef burger and not too much slaw is a masterpiece and I don't say that lightly. It's in the top 3 burgers I've ever eaten and if they could just tone down the salt within the ingredients by just a little bit, it would be a top two contender. You don't get fries, you get beef dripping potatoes which are ELITE, I beg you to try this place out if you are on the hunt like me for a burger that will rival this delightful little number I once had in Baltimore. 18.00, worth every penny for the view.

Wonderful news that Chop House is continuing the Eat out deal into September! Wonderful location and delicious Barnsley chops. Would highly recommend the lamb chops with mash potato and garlic butter. The crackling and apple sauce starter was another highlight!
