Dinner last night, fabulous, from a welcoming greeting to beautifully cooked food and excellent wine. We all chose different dishes and every one was prepared to perfection, truly superb, the best meal I've had for absolutely ages. Our host could not of done more to make us feel welcome, friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and all done whilst adhering to social distancing rules. Thank you....

A really good meal in a lovely location! It was a hot Easter bank holiday, so we thought we'd cycle to a country pub for an early evening meal. The Chequers was well reviewed so we had high hopes: rest assured we were not disappointed when we arrived. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the real ale choice was limited but the Gales Seafarers and Fullers London Pride were both solidly quaffable. The starters and mains were all of a high standard yet reasonably priced. I will happily come back and am equally happy to recommend this place to you.
Wonderful pub. Had a great lunch. Bacon, brie and mango chutney sandwich (yes, the combo works) for me, and a Cajun chicken roll the wide unit, which she claimed was one of the best she had had, cooked to perfection with a wonderfully fresh roll. Next selection of beers, very friendly staff. Would definitely stop again.
The food was really nice and hot !! Had a bit of a wait but they were doing take out as well.over all good food.
Lovely food, lovely staff and it's a motorhome stopover.
