Excellent restaurant serving a fine dining experience in incredible and very unique surroundings (an old art deco cinema which once operated between the 1920s and early 1960s). The food was very tasty and the service was oustanding. Our waiter Hugo was impeccable and had the perfect personality to be a waiter. He was very friendly, personable, polite and willing to engage in conversation with the guests. He was also very knowledgeable about the menu. Highly recommended...just make sure Hugo serves you!

Absolutely superb restaurant. Amazing food, great attentive staff and lovely decor. Scallops starter with Belly Pork main and a selection of mini desserts was possibly one of the nicest meals I've had. Would definitely recommend and would love to go back.

Beautiful setting with well spaced out tables. An atmosphere of adult chatter and humour makes the place feel warm and inviting. Service was as you would expect in such a lovely building, exceptional. The menu catered for all appetites with some wonderful fish dishes, great steaks or just fish n chips if that's what you fancy. A very good selection of drinks from lagers to wines of the world. The treacle tart was a superb finish to a lovely evening. Will definitely be going back soon.

I expected much more from a restaurant with a Michelin star. Walk in, beautiful decor, no one takes your coat, hang it on the back of your chair, no table cloths, very noisy and boomy. The staff were pleasant & friendly, but it felt like an expensive TGI Fridays, customers wearing jeans and trainers, I expected much, much better. Dim lighting and a menu printed in a tiny serif font, hard to read. Ordered cocktails & water, bottle of tepid water delivered, with. glasses, no ice, not poured, DIY. Starter arrives, it's OK. My main course, half a lobster for 30, had to ask for crackers for the claw, tiny lobster, almost no meat and not must taste - best part were the chips. 1.5 hrs between ordering and main course, have to keep asking for service, to place food and drink orders, feel forgotten. Shared the bite sized desert, very, very average, ice cream/sorbet parts had melted on the plate before it arrived, it included flame torched halves of (hard, unripe) pineapple with the stork left in - how do you cut it without a knife (not provided). Bill arrives with two drinks we didn't order - lucky we checked. But they didn't forget to add the 12.5% service tip. Decor is beautiful, but not intimate, grand piano on a raised platform, hoped I would hear it, but instead rock music was playing. Beautiful setting, could have been so much better.

Great and warm welcoming feeling. The ambient is dominated by a big piano and the view on the kitchen. The staff is very attentive and flexible. Service has been one of the top with amazing food sourced locally (the beef is sourced by a local butcher). Absolutely loved the quality and the display of the food.
