I've done two workshops here: Beginners and Make a dress in a day workshops. Both were great. You get shown what to do (small steps) then go practice yourself. Tutor helps when you get stuck. So that's what you want really, learn, practice, problem solve with help on the spot. Photos are from the dress I made in a day, which isn't bad for a beginner I think! There's a variety of classes to choose from. As soon as this pandemic has stopped making me poor, I'll be back for more workshops. And from what I can see from their latest photos, they've rearranged the studio to make it socially distant which is great. And for those that are complaining about the cancellations/rebooking - to be fair, the T&Cs are pretty clear, so just don't cancel last minute and be on time and leave plenty of time for the journey (beauty salons have the same policies, so it's not unreasonable). It's a small business so be supportive and remember it costs them too. Bottom line - I enjoyed, found it useful and recommend to others.

I went to do a 2 hour sewing course for beginners and I really enjoyed it. The person running the course that day was very knowledgeable as he has been sewing for 35 years and explained all the different things a sewing machine can do and the different types of needles you need for different materials. We practiced our sewing on some scrap fabric and then made face masks, I think mine turned out pretty good for a beginner! I went back home with the knowledge on how to thread a bobbin and use sewing machine in general. Highly recommend if you would like to start sewing but unsure of how

Such a fun and chilled sewing class - I found it to be very relaxing but productive. A very supportive tutor who also kindly gave me some fabric to work with when my fabric wasn't appropriate. Great machines and working area too. Space to work freely

Me and my sister did the intro to sewing class. Craig is a great teacher who takes you through everything step by step and explains things very well. He let us film him so we could refer back to it at home which was very helpful. The studio is an inspiring place to learn and I'm planning on coming back to do other courses. I would highly recommend The Fashion Box to anyone. Thanks Craig!
