Always good friendly service. Always good food. The queue nearly always moves quicker than I expect it too and it's always worth the wait. I have to ask myself why this one is always busier than other local fish and chip shops....maybe it's better food and service. Well done Fish Plaice, keep it up. And finally, something unconnected What restaurant serves the best fish? … a restaurant on the titanic. Silly but made me smile

Yummy fish and chips right by the sea. One of the largest fish and chip shop in town, other than the chain brand name, so we thought we would give it a go - glad we did! Totally tasty and well worth a visit anytime you are in the area. Applied all the covid rules and handled the line of people very well, obviously used to being very busy.
Without a doubt, the best cod and chips I've had in a very, very long time. The queue was long as they only allow one customer to order at a time. But they are so well organised that the service is lightning fast, allowing the flow of customers to move along at a surprisingly quick pace. The batter on my cod was light, well seasoned and not at all greasy. It was as a crisp as an autumn leaf. Just how I like it. I ordered a standard size cod but it was huge! The chips were excellent. Just the right shape and size, with an assortment of crisp and crunchy with a few slightly larger specimens to munch on. There is plenty of bench seating outside and ample bins to put your wrapper waste in. This definitely a place to mark and save on your Google map app, in case you're ever in town.
Amazing!!! We visited the fish plaice on a Sunday afternoon, and the queues were out of both doors, they were incredibly busy, and once you eat the food you realise why. The staff were very friendly and efficient and the food was not only delicious but very well priced. This is now our go to plaice when we visit Swanage. Some of the best fish and chips I've ever had, cannot fault them. 100% would recommend this chippy to everyone ️
