Not the warmest of welcomes in truth, which for me always sets the tone for a visit. First impressions so count. And so a cheery Hi how are you? Can make such a difference. And you woukd think most establishments are eager to get new faces and bums on seats and cash through the till. However the service did improve and the food was good.

Excellent country inn serving good beer and tasty food. My sandwich came with the best chips I've eaten for ages.
Pleasant pub with a good sized garden. Short menu and simple food, but well prepared (including the best chips I've had in a while.)
I was there for a St Patrick's /birthday party night, with live music from Buckler's Reel. It was a great evening and a very nice venue. The staff were accommodating and helpful. The location and the building itself is a lovely spot for socialising and eating in a traditional countryside pub way. Happy to return.
Staff very friendly. Food excellent. Service was prompt.
