We are working to tackle the effects that bullying has on a child's mental health, this is an extremely important issue, which is close to our hearts. This project hopes to remove the stigma associated with mental health issues, opening up a positive and creative reaction, allowing those who are battling this issue to be able to confront it and fight back. We hope the project will be a form of therapy, to aid young children and adults alike by allowing those who experience this trauma to realise that there is a happy place, and that happy place exists where people will support them. We want to be part of the fight to stop children experiencing all forms of mental health issues associated with bullying. Mental health issues can be seen through a number of symptoms, lack of motivation, low self-esteem, tiredness, etc., all of which can stunt personal growth and happiness. These are some of the key symptoms The Happy Place Project will tackle, encouraging children to embrace what they have experienced, however, with a positive and proactive outcome which looks towards the future.  Designing a happy place is only the beginning and will form a fundraiser, we are currently reaching out to athletes and businesses, to work in conjunction with The Happy Place Project - on the Future Positive bursary. If the child we are working with wants to become a snowboard instructor, a ski racer or a performance coach, the future positive bursary will use the connections we make within the snowsport industry to open doors.
