Just had a take away Sunday roast from Highlands. Absolutely delicious! Very generous portions, extremely tasty and even the roast potatoes were still crunchy! Will definitely order again. Thank you to the Highlands’ very friendly staff! Simon, Piltdown

Stopped here on a whim after visiting a railway nearby. What a good decision this turned out to be. Great selection of food for adults and kids. Good choice of drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. I had the guest ale from a local brewery which was tasty. I ate pie of the day, which was Chicken, vegetables and stuffing. It was delicious and a proper pie too, not just a pastry top. Kids meals came with a choice of beans or peas, as well as chips. Good selection of sandwiches on offer too. Pleasantly surprised by the war memorial in the garden to a pilot who lost his life saving the village by using his Spitfire as a battering ram against a V1 bomb. A great choice, will certainly think of here again if in the area.

I went with my fiance to this place enjoy a special supper and we ended up having delicious dinner food surrounded by a quirky and nicely decorated atmosphere. A very nice pub with great, friendly and very thoughtful efficient staff! Their covid-19 policy and procedures were spot on! Highly recommended!
