The Honey Farm Scarborough is a brilliant place. The family can learn all about bees in a really safe environment. There are a few swarms tucked away behind glass in hives with outside access - and even an old postbox (although last time we visited was in early spring and the Farm was on the lookout for more swarms). You can view a really engrossing DVD about bees if you want to know more about them and the kids can dress up in beekeepers outfits and have their photos taken alongside a giant bee. And of course there is a gift shop which has some great honey/bee related items - soaps, beers, candles etc. The staff here are really kind and will do everything to make you enjoy your visit too. One of our boys visits frequently - he is mad about bees - and nothing is too much for them. Note - It's located alongside Betton Farm which also includes a great outdoor play area, animal farm, tearooms and craft outlets - so it's a good day out for the kids and adults alike. Highly recommended.

Brilliant, small but excellent experience. Been lots of times. Even when my son lost his honey bear from this farm at york rail museum they posted a new one to us in Warwickshire.
