KCLID is a new and exciting society that aims to promote the understanding, engagement and impact of development issues from around the globe. We bring students closer to contemporary challenges, such as unsustainable resource extraction, economic inequality and the social injustices plaguing the Earth today. Currently we are working on putting together a series of both academic and social events that will promote an understanding and engagement with the impacts of development issues and to create an inspiring educational environment that brings out the best in our members. Furthermore, we run a blog on our website where we frequently publish academic articles, book and event discussions as well promote articles by our patron societies.
