Nice little place to walk around and see the art. Photography, painting, sculpture, mixed media. They have a little of everything.

If you love modern art, this would be a great place to visit. We went to see a particular exhibition of local art from the Borth area. Unfortunately this was displayed in the cafeteria and didn't allow you to have a really good look at the art - unless you like looming over tables of people having lunch!!. There were other exhibitions of modern art, which were very well displayed and would be enjoyed by the modern art lover. Entry to MOMA is free but a donation would be very well accepted.

What a wonderful little MOMA! 5 galleries. Friendly, helpful staff. Currently an exhibition based on The Owl Service book. What I loved is that there was a section of the gallery devoted to art by 18s and under, given serious wallspace. Well done.

Always worth a look to see what they are exhibiting. An interesting and varied range or painting, sculpture and occasional performance. There is a cafe too!

I paid a visit to MOMA at Machynlleth whilst in North Wales. It is a fine conversion of a an old Wesleyan chapel and , more recently, an adjacent tannery. It is a great thing to do with otherwise derelict buildings and creates a lively hub for the small town. I had a nice coffee which was served efficiently before looking around at the art on display. The enjoyment of art is a personal thing as everyone has different tastes. As ever there were things I liked and things I didn't and others's that I couldn't see the point of, in my mind that is totally acceptable.

You don't have to go all the way to NYC to visit MOMA! This compact but surprisingly extensive gallery has work by some great local artists, but also hosts work by internationally acclaimed artists. Always worth a visit.
