WOW, what a fantastic experience. Nigel is a great tutor and explains absolutely everything. As a novice cook Nigel soon puts you at ease. I was very fortunate to have one to one tuition and it was great to work alongside Nigel. What a fantastic setup Nigel has, I never felt uncomfortable or out of my depth. The food we cooked was amazing. All I can say is : Nigel thank you for taking the time to teach me at what is a very difficult time for everyone but more so for yourself given your sad loss. You are an absolute inspiration. A huge thank you I am already looking forward to trying one of your many other courses.

Really relaxed, fun and fascinating...we attended the Pie and Puds short course in the evening. It was so relaxed and we learnt so many tricks of the trade! Really well equipped and established kitchen with a great atmosphere. Having been on a few courses around the north, this is very good value and more intimate than the others. FULLY recommend this business.

This was my second visit to Nigel and his Cookery Academy and once more I was hugely impressed with every aspect of the experience. The Academy is very well equipped with everything that you could possibly need. It's a really nice venue, situated in a converted ropery in Barton Upon Humber, so if you're there for a half or full day, there's plenty more to see and do. As a competent amateur cook I took lots of tips and methods away with me that will help me to further improve. (oh and three days worth of meals for me and the family!) Finally and most importantly, Nigel himself is a great guy. He certainly puts you at ease and makes you feel comfortable when creating magic in the kitchen. It was a pleasure to spend the day with him. I'd definitely recommend anybody, whatever their ability, to experience Nigel and his Academy. There are so many courses available, you really are spoilt for choice - it's Seafood Extravaganza next for me!
