Ordered takeaway from here and was very impressed. Fast delivery and great tasting food - I ordered noodles, salt and pepper chips, sweet and sour 'chicken', and oyster sauce 'prawn'. All four items were delicious so I would definitely order here again - as a vegetarian, this is exactly the sort of takeaway food I've been looking for!

Just amazing! My wife and I were visiting York this week and we visited the Orchid. We are both vegan and what can I say, wow. The food is delicious, there are lots of options and the prices are normal, not too pricey or anything. The customer service is fantastic. Good clean establishment with a nice ambience. If I could give 10 stars I would.

Love The Orchid! Food is fantastic, very reasonably priced and top quality. I was glad to be able to get a table as they are usually very busy, fast, polite service and sensible covid controls in place. Takeaway is great with very generous portion sizes. You have to try the vegan King prawn, its the best I've ever had. I'll be back again next week!

Great takeaway meal. Had Sweet & Sour King Prawns, and they were truly epic. You would not know they weren't real shrimps! Having recently turned vegan, it's wonderful knowing that there are places as good as here!

We have had takeaway 3 times from The Orchid and every time it has been delicious. So much choice and full of flavour. Staff we have spoken with have been very friendly and helpful. Can't wait to hopefully visit the restaurant in the new year to dine in.

I've been vegetarian for about 10 years now. 2 things I've missed are bacon sandwiches and crispy beef in OK sauce from the Oriental Pearl at Clifton Moor. I was told about this place by a colleague. It was literally the best crispy OK beef I've ever had. The sweet and sour crispy tofu was next level. Everything was amazing. The Orchid has rendered meat obsolete. I will be telling everyone I know about this place. Thank you!

Excellent quality vegan food which will appeal to vegans and non-vegans alike. My favourite was the vegan 'shredded beef' and the mushroom soup, but the desserts are superb as well.
