When we booked a table outside. Told the man on the phone 2 adults 1 child, said great see you Thursday lunchtime. Arrived had already picked what we were having. Very quiet just 2 other ladies there. The girl said no pushchairs allowed on premises. But looking at another post it's not the pushchair, it appears it's the child. Anyway was lovely sunny day, and so shady over there. Went to The George and had a lovely meal. Shame he didnt tell us on phone.

Great atmosphere and good food. I'd recommend a visit - it's also nicely tucked away from the tacky shops and birds of tourists on the beachfront.

You just cannot fault the food and service in this pub. The best fish and chip l have ever tested. Very popular with locals as well as tourists Well balanced carefully design menu also offering day specials at comparative prices. Strongly recommended, if you are going to Weymouth, it is a must. One of the best pubs in Weymouth. Super-friendly and efficient service, great range of drinks and excellent proper home-cooked food. The steak and ale pie was a thing of wonder and the seafood cake delicious. Way better than any of the waterfront establishments and better priced.

This is my favourite pub. Great beer. Amazing staff. Excellent outdoor space. Cozy, ambient square with big maple trees. Live music at times and giant umbrellas with heaters at night. What more could you want?
