I sometimes come here with my nan and it has never disappointed. Staff are friendly and there's a cozy but refined atmosphere. I had their special cocktail which had sake and a Japanese melon liqueur which was full of nostalgic flavours as I used to live there. I had duck, which was tasty, a little tough but duck usually is. The vegetables were delicious, tender and flavourful. I had a duck and potato mixed patty of some kind, which was a little too salty for me, but overall a nice meal.

At the moment, definitely the best pub in Lympstone. Very reasonable prices (12 for a fish and chips), extremely friendly and efficient service, and absolutely delicious food. This visit, I had a fish and chips which was the perfect temperature, delicious, and the chips were the right balance of crispy and large. I had a bite of my sister's beef burger which was equally amazing, and certainly what I'll be having the next time I'm here! Slightly more formal than the other Lympstone pubs, I'd more consider it a restaurant with pub food, but this adds to the experience rather than detracts from it. I'll certainly come again.
Superb, one of the best eating experiences, very pleasant surroundings and professional staff. Take your time here, there is no hurry and no one-way system, so sit down and chill. Reasonable prices and more than one vegetarian option on the menu. It's the first time that my wife actually ordered more and ate more than me which is a recommendation in itself from an international diner. Perhaps the only fault I could find was that I couldn't find the hand sanitizer upon entry, but we carry our own.
Really good choice of food & everything we ordered looked & tasted wonderful! Most enjoyable! Would recommend.
