Really impressed with the offering. We went for a late lunch on Sunday. All the staff had either a face mask or screen. You felt the experience was good. We had a starter each and a main. The scotch egg was excellent and the devilled kidneys were superb. Highly recommended.

Great food versus price. Serves Phipps IPA which is a real bonus. Cracking village location, excellent bonhomie from the staff. Really enjoyed the lunch with my mate. Used to go here quite frequently - always enjoyed it but no idea why we lapsed! Yep. Very pleasant afternoon outing.

One of two pubs in Yardley Hastings, The Rose & Crown has a very Victorian feel with low ceilings and old feel to it. Locals are locals and friendly as can be, always welcoming whether you're in for a drink or a bite to eat. The food is gorgeous and staff always fun to talk too. Pets (dogs are welcome as there is a garden in the back they can rest and rehydrate. Children are also welcome to join you and everything is done to make you feel welcome.

We were famished from walking around Castle Ashby when we found this country pub. Staff were friendly and the vibe pleasant but the food was disappointing. My Sunday oast chicken\ was a rather dry skinless breast. It is too hard to toast an actual chicken? Veg was OK. Pig in blanket inedibly salty. My friend's roast \lamb\ (mutton! ) was also fairly underwhelming. The more I eat out, the more I am convinced that it's better to cook at home!
