As I approach another birthday, I realise that I had not submitted my review of The Roving Artist, Charles Burns who made my birthday party a night to remember. I was first introduced to Charles and his fabulous silhouettes in December 2014 at a Christmas work do. Whilst chatting with colleagues Charles presented me with a full-length silhouette. I had no idea he was doing this. I promised myself that I would find the opportunity to book Charles so that my friends could witness his amazing talent. October 2019 I would be celebrating my 60th birthday and decided to make it a bit of do and knew straight away that Charles would need to be at my party. I was so happy when Charles confirmed that he would be able to attend as I know his services are in demand. The day came and Charles arrived early to familiarise himself with the venue. During the reception, dinner and dancing he worked the room creating his silhouettes, full length, couples, family groups and the popular portrait. At first the guest didn’t realise what he was doing, but witnessing their reactions when he showed them the silhouette and then presenting it to them on the card was the highlight of my evening. Soon the room was buzzing as guests couldn’t wait to show off their silhouettes. The whole booking process and aftercare was great. I had guest leave early and therefore missed getting a silhouette. No problem; Charles was able to produce a beautiful silhouette from a photograph. As a lasting memento I took up the option of having a print of all the silhouettes taken on the night plus those cut via a photo. Charles is an absolute master of his craft and booking The Roving Artist was worth every penny. A year on, my friends are still commenting on their silhouettes. I recommend The Roving Artist as they provide a unique service. Jenny

Highly recommend! We secured Charles’s services late on in planning our wedding and we are so pleased we did. Charles worked the room well for almost 100 guests, creating his incredible silhouettes and dazzling everyone with his skill. The proof of the final print with all of our guests on was provided quickly afterwards and Charles was even able to add our baby nephew who was too wriggly on the day.

The talent and skill of Charles cannot be put into words. Nearly all of our guests has posted pictures on social networks of their silhouettes saying the Charles and his skill are the most unique, clever and amazing thing they have seen. To do them so quick with just paper and scissors is so impressive. The giclée print we ordered of ourselves and our guest looks amazing and because Charles talent is so unique, made our wedding even more special. The feedback on what a nice guy he is and the fact he did not stop until he got everyone, a just a few reasons that I strongly recommend you have him at your event.
