I love this sanctuary. I first came across them while looking for a place we could 'adopt' a fox and hadn't expected we could go and feed them! It was a fantastic day out in a beautiful location with very dedicated staff and volunteers. As a teacher, I contacted these guys to come talk to the children about owls and they managed to bring some along. It was a fabulous day, the kids loved it and the owners were brilliant with the children and very knowledgeable. Fabulous place!

They feed the animals the wrong food, and the Owl's Nest is a fire hazard, just waiting to go up in flames, not to mention how eco unfriendly it was, plus the recycling of Northumberland is virtually non existent. Dreadful place, had to love the animals, and the wildlife, I adore the northeast, and had lots of reminders of our honeymoon stay at Aln House, dinner in the Olympic dining suite of the hotel it's been fitted into (sister ship of Titanic) whenever we visited Alnwick. Nice memories, but not of the fire trap Owl's Nest, no wonder the RSPCA took away a lot of their animals.

Just finishing off our wonderful weekend holiday. The Sanctury is just blissful! The kids have thoroughly enjoyed having the animals to fuss over and the holiday cottage has just been amazing! Will definitely return for another break. 5 stars!

My dog's board there and they very very well looked after.

I rang The Sanctuary Wildlife Centre to ask for advice on the care of two baby abandoned field mice. After they did not return any of my frantic calls, I attempted to hand rear the two babies. After giving them all of the love in the world, they sadly passed away. I am much aggrieved; the service I received was shockingly poor, particularly for an organisation which purports to care about animal welfare. I would give The Sanctuary Wildlife Centre zero stars if it were possible.
