Stopped here for lunch after a walk on the wold today and was not disappointed! Had the lamb Sunday roast followed by apple crumble, both were delicious. Would definitely recommend and will be returning.

Had a meal for 6 here, 4 adults 2 children. Admittingly on the pay half, government pays half. Could not fault the place, excellent service and very friendly and attentive staff. Very well run, fantastic location. The food was honestly nothing short of amazing. Very well recommended and will return. Great pub.
We’ve just had a Lamb roast takeaway as were in lockdown we thought we would give it a go & it certainly didn’t disappoint. We booked it for 4.30 collection & it was delivered to our car on time & put in the boot so very Covid secure. There was plenty of tasty & tender lamb with lots of fresh well cooked vegetables & a perfectly risen light Yorkshire pudding & plenty of gravy in a separate container. We thoroughly enjoyed it & would certainly recommend it & have another one !! We all need to support our local businesses at this time in order that it will still be there after this strange time.
This pub has gone downhill. Whilst the food is very nice, I've found the overall atmosphere and cleanliness to be lacking. I've been twice now where my drinks glasses have been absolutely filthy. This is really unacceptable for a pub which charges more than most in this area, especially as we're in the midst of a pandemic. I'd look elsewhere for a meal, even though it is a convenient location for those who live in the area.
