Parent of fresher 2020 - this is an institution clearly resting on its laurels. Has used the current pandemic as an excuse for poor support systems , poor communication, lack lustre remote teaching etc. rather than an opportunity to enhance their so called academic standing . Was warned that student care and experience was very low on this institutions priorities - should have taken heed.

I visited the main campus of this university on 21-7-2016, as a lone traveller. It was evening. There was nobody in the campus. I was astonished on seeing the old building. Naturally, the building was not very clean. But, it was impressive.

The university has five main campuses in the city of Edinburgh, with many of the buildings in the historic Old Town belonging to the university.[5] The university played an important role in leading Edinburgh to its reputation as a chief intellectual centre during the Age of Enlightenment, and helped give the city the nickname of the Athens of the North.
