We had a meal there last Friday & the food was really lovely & clearly freshly cooked. Really friendly & accommodating staff as we had a little dog with us. We sat out the back in the heated area & the chef popped out to check that we were happy with everything. Definitely one of the better pubs in the area which I wholly recommend!

In my opinion, this is the greatest pub in the area. They have a huge selection of ales, and I can't decide which to drink each time, so I end up combining a few. The staff are impressively patient and always ready to call a taxi for you, if you are too drunk to do so for yourself. It is open all week, but the best time to visit this place are Saturday and Sunday nights, even though it can get a bit crowded.

I've only been here for a drink. I went on a first date on a Sunday night and it was really quiet. Standard selection of drinks. There was a bunch of people in watching the rugby but it was still very quiet inside so a good place to go even when the sport is on. The bat man was friendly and serves me very quick. Men's toilets were clean. It seemed to play alot of traditional Irish music when I was there and it definitely had BT sport channels. Not sure about Sky sports.

I went to this establishment on 14/2/16 for a chicken sunday roast. After waiting some time for the food to arrive I tucked into the chicken and realised that it was cold, I put this down to the fact that it could have been left standing for a few minutes and had naturally gone cold. It was not until I ate further into the chicken that I realised that it was frozen. I spat the chicken out and told told the member of staff behind the bar about this who quickly hurried the plates away. She advised me that the cook would talk to me directly as it was better coming from him. After waiting some time and prompting to be able to speak to the cook I was asked to go to the kitchen. I spoke to the cook and told him of my disatisfaction of being served frozen food. He informed me that they buy the chicken in already cooked, but frozen. He also admitted that he had not checked the temperature of the chicken with a probe before serving or to ensure that it had been heated thoroughly. After raising my concerns as to the potential risk of eating frozen food he told me that he was sure that I would be fine and slamned the door. His attitude was unprofessional and showed little concern towards the risk that this could cause. I requested a refund and was refused and told that if I become ill, that I should bring the evidence in and that she was just the messenger and again, she had little concern. I am appauled and disgusted. This will be the last time that I, or the people I know will eat here.

We went in here some time ago on a Saturday for food. I think I ordered the fish & chips and my friend an omelette. After a half hour the girl who took our order came over and told us they were out of omelettes. We were a bit shocked that in that time nobody had gone out to the shop, a 2 minute walk, and got eggs. What kitchen doesn't keep eggs to cook a simple omelette.
