Great ferry to get you from a to b. Nearby park is nice with some so so shops but a fab chippy...cod n chips 6.10 freshly cooked.....Lush!
I've always loved the ferry, much better than the trek round the bridge. It was an exciting journey today as the bus in front of me swayed from side to side in the strong wind. Well done to the poor guys who were soaked to the skin.

This is a chain pulled ferry that takes you over the river in a very serene manner. Maybe if I used it daily the novelty would wear off, but as a tourist I found it very charming and my kids loved it. Then there's the price. 1.50 to cross into Plymouth and totally free to cross the other way. Now that's value for money. Loved it.
