Great experience, shop and cafe Get there Monday through Friday before noon to receive buy one get one free entry to the tour and kids go free! Very interesting to see master blowers working their craft. The shop is huge and had bargains galore in it. Have a look at the "mega discounts" hidden in the back. Nice cafe with a good range of food. A definite must in the area.

A great place to visit. Watch some very skilled craftsmen form the stylish Dartington Crystal Glass objects you can then buy in the shop. I could watch these guys for hours. The pre-factory tour is very informative and the shop is huge with products from the sister companies there too. Why not 5 stars? Well, the cafë wasn't open and if you shop carefully, you may buy the same products cheaper online. Nevertheless, a great place to visit and beautiful glassware.

Very interesting place to visit! Definitely do the factory tour if you visit, it is fascinating watching the skilled craftsmen blowing and shaping the glass.

Very interesting, enjoyed watching the glass blowing from the viewing gallery. Quite quiet due to time of year and the covid restrictions, so no guided tour, but plenty of information boards. Shop had many items reduced. Had refreshments in cafe unfortunately only a limited menu, but the coffee was excellent and reasonably priced.

Dartington Crystal is located in a lovely part of the country. The site has plenty of parking and is fairly easy to find. However, there is a fairly steep slope to get up from the car park to the factory, especially if you follow the designated path. Entry cost us 17 for two adults (8.50 each) and two children under 16 (free). For this, we could look around the museum and the factory. The factory includes a raised platform, to watch the workers, so you need to be able to tackle the stairs if you're going to make use of it. That said, it doesn't add masses to the experience, so you won't miss out too much if you don't go up (apart from a view of the area where they finish and pack items, which I didn't think was all that interesting ). The museum has some lovely exhibits and you can buy something for your children to decorate or make. There is a nice area where you can watch an information video about the company. The factory shop has lots of products to buy, some of which are available for less than on the high street. There are also lots of seconds available for much lower prices than the perfect items. There are various other stores on site and a restaurant, which didn't seem to have a particularly wide range of products. Another useful feature is the free WiFi, useful as lots of Devon has very poor data connection.

Well worth seeing the factory. You get to see how everything is made from start to finish and dont worry even the children were amazed. The cafe had some amazing food and a really good day out.
