The doctors and nurses are generally O.K. The big problem are the appalling receptionists! Receptionists are lacking of all basic knowledge needed to help patients regarding mere information of all kinds, ranging from registration to test results! Also they're not very friendly at all. The management is very poor and unhelpful too, leaving the patient with very little chances of expecting any improvements… That's a massive shame as it contrasts sharply against the good work nurses and doctors provide! The truth needs to be said!

A lovely surgery with plenty of staff. Very clean, ample seating and it even has a pharmacy on the doorstep. The doctor's all seem very friendly, are more than happy to help with any problems and are very easy to get a hold of on the phone. Very strict at the moment with the Covid Pandemic, but that is to be expected at the moment and as long as you call before very easy to bypass.
Wonderful doctors and nurses, light & pleasant place, only took a star off for long waiting times to get through on the phone, & some of the receptionists could be a little warmer, but I think they're overly busy right now & could probably do with a couple more staff.

from Prudence Clarke Excellent surgery from reception, to practice nurses, to doctors. Particular reference must be made to Nurse Bernie Hattersley's care and attention with a recent blood test - the best service ever, over many, many years. When time is short and resources scarce, Leaside Surgery always put patients' wellbeing first.
My experience goes back over a decade : earlier, with some doctors, since I have lived - on & off - in Totnes since 1958,but it is to the recent past that I refer. All doctors & all nurses, without exception,have given me the best treatment in an on-going way. Once,when I came in suddenly as an emergency patient, the speed & rapid response to my situation was handled extremely well, with a calm patience, which engendered confidence in me that I would survive the ordeal. I cant reccommend this Surgery highly enough
