VISIT TOTNES\....... From the River Dart you can walk up the narrow, old world, main high street, which features a compendium of different shops, for your vegetables, fresh foods, exotic foods, fish chips, cinema films, clothing, house hold antiques, artistic paintings, etc, to the 'TOTNES CASTLE', with commanding views of the local area, even experience the views from the local 'TOTNES LIBRARY'.........Though it can be difficult to find a place to park the car, just ask the locals.......The River Dart here is tidal you can travel to Dartmouth when the boats are running, where there is another age old castle.....Unfortunately, Wild Salmon which have used the River Dart in their thousands are now, rarely seen, less Wild Salmon return to their spawning grounds every year.....After torrential rain storms the River Dart can be seen in full flood, up to 3ft above the normal, if you carefully walk up river from \TOTNES\......Other attractions in the local area can be found at the web site, \ VISIT TOTNES\.......
