we went in the autumn which isnt the prime time as this is cleary a spring garden full of magnolia and camelia however it was still a beautiful walk. the tree fern dell was absolutely stunning and the pond surrounded in japanese anemone and colourful acers simply striking. For the horticulturally minded the specimin trees. champion trees and rare species which are very unusual in the uk and well worth a look. At just 7.50 the entry is more than reasonable for a cornish garden. parking is plentiful. toilets are open and their is a cafe serving the classic cream teas lunches and drinks. with a large outside seating area and a few indoor tables it is nice and accomodating. The current events mean maps arent provided although there is one you can photo (we tried to use it but found too much interesting things off the main route so soon ended up going off peg. If you do this be aware there is a lot within a small area and its easy to miss sections. dont be afraid to double back and try the little paths. For those who are more history minded the gardens are built on old mineworkings which are evident in the shaping of the ground now. Around the garden are numerous water containers turned into small wildlife/flower ponds all made from old equipment and make a lovely addition to the site.

This garden is really beautiful and worth a visit. We went their in summer and enjoyed our time. I'll say you can spend a day easily here It's too big and you can walk around all day. Parking is available on the spot and enjoy your time. We'll go next time again.

Nice beach, very windy. Fun to climb over the rocks and look in rock pools
