Purchased a spotting scope for birdwatching. Tring Astro had what I wanted at a good price. The people here are lovely, attentive, knowledgeable and not at all pushy - really a pleasure to deal with. Wholeheartedly recommended. A business well worth supporting.

Telephoned today. I had a problem focusing my Skymaster Dobsonian. As it happened not purchased from Tring, but they were good enough to guide me through what I had probably done wrong and I think they were quite right. I offered to come and see them to check out the scope with them and pay for their time, but they were happy to help remotely. When I got home I applied what they said and I am near certain it has done the trick. Look forward to becoming a full blown customer in time!

It is very very disappointing that this shop does not open over the weekends & even the week days opening times are limited between 10am to 4pm. Can't really get my head around why would this shop not open during the hours when people are actually free to shop.

Recently bought a new scope mount from here. I found the staff very knowledgeable and friendly. When the products were delivered direct from the supplier, one of the parts was broken so I called up the shop and they sorted it out without question with the replacement part delivered the next day - great service. Would recommend visiting if you have any questions about what's best for your astronomy needs.
